Following on the success of the FIABCI World Council of Managers three series of webinars which we have coordinated for specific German-speaking countries, North America, Latin America and South-East Europe we will be scheduling a FIABCI World Council of Managers online webinar which will be focused on Residential Property principles, issues, challenges and solutions for those people who are located in the region of South-East Asia. We will compare the situation in Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. These upcoming webinars will useful not only for the professionals of the branch, but also for the specialists of related areas of Real Estate, as well as for potential investors from all over the globe. This series of webinars is open to all FIABCI members and it is one of the benefits of FIABCI membership which provides value to our members.

The webinars are based on the Questionnaire about condominium management which was created by the president of the World Council of Managers, Michael von Hauff. This Questionnaire contains the main aspects of condominium management, which are being compared between different countries. We attach the English version of the Questionnaire to this email. The Questionnaire is big enough, so we needed at least 3 webinars to go it through, as the speakers of all participating countries are taking turns in answering the questions.

There are going to be 4 speakers in this upcoming series of webinars and here is a short information about them:
Dr. Sopon Pornchokchai is representing Thailand and has had experience in real estate research and valuation since 1982. He is an experienced valuer and lecturer on valuation at the undergraduate and graduate levels and in training courses in Thailand and abroad. He was a consultant to the ESCAP, UN-Habitat, World Bank and other international organizations. He gained a Ph.D. in land and housing from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and had further property valuation training from LRTI-Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and in housing development from Katholieke Universeit Leuven (Belgium).
Jeffrey Reyes Sosa is representing Philippines and is the Chairman, President and CEO of SOSAJB PROPERTY MANAGEMENT CORPORATION. He is responsible for the executive management of the entire affairs of the company. He is also in charge of the overall operations of the company in the areas of full property management, facilities management for banks, hospital and schools, project/construction management, commercial and retail operations for malls and supermarkets, professional home care maintenance and technical and engineering services.
Richard Chan is a speaker from Malaysia and he is one of the pioneer leaders in the field of shopping centers and high-rise retail complex management industry. With more than 37 years of experience, Richard has been involved in the development, management and turn-around of shopping centers and mixed-development projects in Malaysia since 1980.
Teo Poh Siang is representing Singapore. In 1993, Poh Siang founded Wisely Property Consultants Pte Ltd and later Wisely 98 Pte Ltd. He contributes his expertise to the industry as a Trainer at the Institute of Estate Agents and as a Adjunct Lecturer at the Singapore Polytechnic for strata management courses. He speaks frequently on strata matters at different forum. He is also one of the founding members of the Association of Strata Managers. Poh Siang is the author of “A Practical Guide to STRATA MANAGEMENT in Singapore”, a book that has been positively reviewed by industry players.
